I am dying of jealousy over that yard! Our permanent home, wherever that ends up, has a requirement of a large yard for my gardening. We have just a tiny lot right now.

We did spend a rainy Saturday renovating and getting close to completion on our project!

And I’m dying of jealousy with your remodeling almost being finished! *Jealous*

The yard is great and huge but we haven’t been using it so it’s kind of a waste. I hope our gardens turn out!

How exciting for you guys! I love it when I hear people deciding to grow some of their own food. It’s a lot of fun.

It was a perfect day on Sat. wasn’t it? We spent all day outside in our garden too, then we just sat back and watched the chickens who were all in heaven sunbathing – you’ll love just watching them, it can be very peaceful!

A huge backyard was one of our top priorities buying a home up here. Unfortunately we don’t get a ton of sun in ours, but we still have raised beds for veggetables and our chicken coop. We’ve had chickens for about 3 years now and just got some more babies a couple of months ago. Fresh eggs are incredible – you’ll wonder how you ever ate the store bought kind.

What part of the world do you live in Candace? How long have you had chickens? I grew up getting fresh eggs from various aunts who had farms and it was so much better than store-bought!

We’re just across the river from you in the ‘Couv. We’ve had our chickens for about 3 years now. It was intimidating at first but they are actually really easy to care for.

If you have any chicken related questions just let me know, I’d be happy to answer them!

I will definitely keep you in mind when we get chickens! Thanks!
