Lisa – I think it is time for you to move to the free weights πŸ˜€ I think you will love the power and strength you will feel working with dumbbells and barbells!

John and I squeaked in a pre-rain bike ride and then the afternoon with my mom and sis. We will be watching the preakness during the rapture, hope they get to finish!

You know Lori…I’d love to do free weights. The problem is that I only remember a few select exercises with them from my days with the personal trainer. I don’t have enough knowledge to really build a workout around free weights right now. I wish I did!

That’s great that you guys got to enjoy a bike ride before the world ended. πŸ™‚ Or the rain, whichever bothers you most. LOL

We got to go to a free screening of Pirates! I thought it was good and loved the 3-D!

I do have a funny Rapture story: after the movie, we stopped by the Hot Tub place to get new chemicals, and we walked in right after this other couple. We were all in there for almost 10 minutes and no sales people could be found. The other woman said to me “Come here and see this…” and in the office was a pair of high heels by the door and purses on the desks. It was kinda creepy since no one was around. We seriously thought “Rapture?” We stood around for a few more minutes and FINALLY Chris realized that the two salesladies (one of whom had kicked off her shoes) were in the warehouse in the back and hadn’t heard the doorbell.

The funniest part was the other couple kept saying “Well, the Rapture isn’t supposed to start until 6 pm” which I had never heard. So weird on a day like today when everyone’s heard of the same crazy notion and is talking about it. (Which I can say with confidence because it’s 6:14)

Enjoy your weekend! (It’s still FREEZING up here)

Okay that might be kind of creepy. I think for a split second I would have wondered if the Rapture came early. πŸ˜‰ Well if it had come, I’m glad you and Chris were spared so we can still hang out next weekend!!

I need to catch up on the Pirate movies. I’ve only seen the first one.

It was overcast today but warm and muggy here in Portland. We spent the day in the yard.

Woot! Trying a new machine, killing it? You’re way too awesome. Now tell me, do you do lying down bench presses? πŸ™‚

    1. Lisa Eirene

I want to try the bench press lying down. I’m pretty intimidated but I need to just try it!
