Those are buñuelos. They’re okay, but not my favorite Mexican dessert probably because once they cool down after being fried they’re not as delicious and I don’t like my food too messy.

I don’t really remember being super hungry the day(s) after my half and full marathons. My appetite was pretty normal.

Cinnamon and sugar and honey? YUM! 🙂

My hunger hasn’t been crazy this week compared to last year after running Hood to Coast. THAT was insane!

Do you think eating lots of carbs would help recovery? Or protein?

If you are hollow, then eat more. Recovery needs more food than taper week because you are recovering from a physical exertion.

I do a lot of rest and more eating for a few days. Not over the top, but definitely more protein

I have been eating more this week. Not a crazy amount–nothing compared to Hood To Coast last year. But I’m munching on more stuff and not feeling guilty about it!

I definitely agree with Lori. Rest and eating enough are so important!

So far I only felt the tiredness on Monday. The rest of this week I’ve been okay. But I’m taking it easy this week.

Thanks again for coming out. I do think the fish tacos are the best thing on the menu, but I’m biased. 🙂

Omg – the movie was soooo funny. Loved it.

It’s been a great vacation but I can’t wait to get home and get off “vacation eating.” One more birthday cake to go, and I’m already planning to take the rest to the office.

It was so good to see you! I hope we can get together again the next time you’re in town. Maybe hit some food carts or something, 🙂
