I like nice quiet holidays like that. When John and I have celebrated with the 2 of us, we just get a boneless turkey breast and roast it. Easy and not a huge amount of leftovers.

Family time is a pretty good highlight for me. Also, getting in 2 bike rides at the end of November was pretty sweet!

It’s nice doing something just the two of you! I enjoyed lots of good food, downtime, fun time and fitness. It was a good balance.

Hi Lisa. Love this, it looks like a perfect Thanksgiving. We’ve had a couple of “non-traditional”thanksgivings with friends. One year, we made lasagne, and another year, we had smoked meat from my husband’s home town of Montreal. (that is such a treat for he and his Montreal buddies….) Hope you had a good weekend.

Lasagna is a great idea. I like that!

Thanks Carla! It was a good one this year. 🙂

John always tells me that he is sure I would cook vegetarian lasagna if I could get away with it on Thanksgiving. He’s right! I did a turkey but would have rather had chicken!!

The cornish game hens were super simple!

Our gym was SUPER busy on Thanksgiving morning! They had a special “Turkey Burner” class in the big gym that I think a lot of people were interested it. We just played racquetball though. 🙂

I bet that if I’d gone to the gym earlier on Thanksgiving day it would be packed. It was last year. There was NO parking last year when I went! But this year I didn’t have to worry about a timetable to get a turkey cooked so I could sleep in! Yay!

It was my first time making Cornish Game Hens and it was a success for sure!
