I am done with shopping and I have everything wrapped, too! Go me ! LOL.

I am not sure if I have had specifically Lebanese food as the restaurants around here usually are just called Mediterranean, but I love falafal and Shawarma and koftas. I recently tried stuffed grape leaves and those were kind of fun.

Glad you’re done with shopping! Isn’t it a nice relief?

Lebanese is often just called “Mediterranean”. I guess Greek is often lumped into that as well.

I love food from that region of the world. Hummus and baba ganouch are favorites, but I had a lamb dish cooked in yogurt and spices in a Lebanese restaurant many years ago, and it still goes down in my “history” as one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Hope Michael is much better soon, and that you both have a great week Lisa.

I agree, Roz! I’ve had a lot of delicious and memorable meals at a restaurant like that. I love hummus. I could eat it as a meal. 🙂

love, love, love Lebanese food, my grown daughter is vegan and we live in the same area. It’s our preferred type of food because we are both satisfied with no stress. I even go meatless at times. We usually share a hummus platter and it is very satisfying.

Excellent point! It’s a great place to go for mixed eating styles. My friend Star is a vegetarian, sometimes vegan, so she was able to find lots of delicious choices at the restaurant (and I got a meat dish). Both were happy!

I love Nicholas Restaurant! I usually just get a vegetarian mezza for myself as a meal. I LOVE their hummus – that, plus the falafel and taboulleh, and the bread, and I’m stuffed.

Their hummus is amazing! I agree, the hummus and bread are filling enough–hence I didn’t eat much of my entree and had leftovers for lunch (and it was even better the next day).

I have never tried Lebanese food! Maybe it’s time to look up a few recipes though 🙂

It’s similar to Greek food. So tasty!
