    I struggle the most with stretching/yoga after exercise. I know I need to do it, and I usually feel great after I do it, but I tend to skip it after I run. I really need to get better about this. I LOVE my foam roller! Best investment ever!

      I agree! I used to struggle with the stretching part, but injury taught me my lesson. As for yoga, I still struggle to motivate myself to go. I like it once I’m there, and I always feel better afterwards but….getting to class is hard!

      I drink a TON of water DURING workouts, but the rest of the time it’s easy to forget to.

    Great post Lisa! Thanks for the shout out. The foam roller in particular has changed my life. I only do ice when I have inflammation but I’m headed for the foam roller momentarily… 🙂

    I agree–the foam roller is my BFF. I use it after every workout. I also make sure to do a few key yoga poses that have helped me recover and stretch after strenuous workouts: pigeon pose, plank pose and lizard pose. For upper body, thread-the-needle feels awesome.

      There are a few yoga poses that work really well for me, too. I add them to my stretching routine.
