The temps really are dropping. We biked in 41 degrees this morning and it felt really cold LOL! I had gloves on under my riding gloves and 2 jackets. The season will be over soon. Below 40 is about my cutoff for biking.

You poor thing! 41 degrees is miserable.

It will get too dark and too cold here in about 3 weeks and I’ll stop biking to work. Weekend rides will still be ok because we can always wait til the afternoon when it’s warmer.

I think it’s awesome that you’re able to ride to work so much. My husband would be sooooo on board with that. Unfortunatey, we carry so much to and from work that it just wouldn’t work. And then I’d want to have a change of clothes, etc. But we are good at getting up and working out beforehand, so it’s okay! 🙂

That’s too bad you guys can’t, but if you already workout in the morning that’s great! When I bike to work, I take my change of clothes and anything I’ll need for that day to work the day before. I keep it stashed in my desk so that it’s easier to bike in.

I’d gladly swap our weather for yours! We’re still having 100+ degree days, and the lowest the temp drops to is about 65* at about 4am. When we can stop running the cooler all afternoon and night, it’ll be good!

The weather has been really nice here–very warm days 75-90 degrees. But the mornings are COLD!

  4. Diane, fit to the finish

We are still warm here but it won’t be for much longer. I still see serious biker guys riding here in the winter but I don’t know how they do it!

The cyclists here in Oregon are hardcore. A lot of them bike year round, no matter what the weather. I admire it, but it’s not for me. I am a fair-weather cyclist. I don’t want to bike in the dark or the rain!

766 miles in one week! You all are quite a team!

OH, not one week…in two weeks!
