I’m so glad you guys met! I follow her too. We should try to get a bigger group together this summer. I have to see Kalin (I’m an Eating Machine) pregnant!

I would love to that! How much fun. We should definitely plan it.

It was great to meet you guys! I agree, it is always a little weird meeting an online friend IRL but I always have so much fun! I was kicking myself when we left that we didn’t get a picture together first!

I know! I thought about it as I walked away! Dang it. 🙁

It was cool to meet. Next time you’re in town we’ll join you for a beer tour. 😀

I love meeting fellow bloggers! The conversation is always so much easier than with someone you have never met before.

My parents got a new puppy a couple of years ago. What.A.Hand full. Seriously. One of the reasons why I stick with cats LOL!

    1. Lisa Eirene

It’s definitely easier because you already kind of “know them”–things they like, what they do, etc.

I know! I am sort of reluctant to get on board with the whole puppy thing. It’s a lot of work and like having a newborn. Not sure *I’m* ready for it….

We had lots of puppies at our house when I was growing up – we bred dogs and fostered puppies for the local animal shelter- which is probably why I’ve only had cats as an adult. Luckily, we never had puppies that were into massive destruction. They are more responsibility in that they can’t easily be left alone for more than 10 hours without having to be let out to go to the bathroom, and that might be stretching it.

Now I have 2 boys who want a dog, and our cats are getting old and dying so a dog will probably be our next pet. I can completely understand people who get a dog to test having a “child” before having babies since there are a lot of similarities. It seems that most of the people I know who have done that end up having children of their own once the dog is about 2 years old.

I cannot even imagine having a puppy AND a baby at the same time. Talk about meltdown!

OMG….I want that puppy!!!!!!!!! That is just the CUTEST little thing!!!! Have a great Friday Lisa. (thanks for the morning “awwww” today! 🙂 )

I am actually looking into getting a dog! Dreading that pet deposit though. Haha.

I have some friends that want a boxer and they are finding it difficult to find houses to rent that will take a bigger dog.

ohmygoodness that puppy is so cute!! I love being able to meet up with other bloggers. Sounds like you all had a great time.

Thanks, Christine, it was a great time, and the puppy was too cute for words. She was so soft and tiny.:)

Love the puppy, so cute! My dog is almost two but he was a cute puppy (my first one).

We have three cats. Does that count? 🙂

I have two cats and the boy kitty is very much like a dog. He follows me around the house at all times like a puppy and he also plays fetch sometimes!

      1. evilcyber

Same here. Ours has this toy fish he will bring and then expect you to throw. Before him, I never thought a cat would do that. And it always amazes me how well cats can react to their names …if they want to 😀

        1. Lisa Eirene

I think it’s probably the tone they recognize. I definitely say my kitty’s name in a certain way. And he knows when he’s in trouble because I use the “bad kitty!” voice. 😉

We adopted our dog – so we don’t really know how old her is – we’ve had him 12.5 years, so he could be 13.5 or even 15 years old! That’s old for a black lab!

I always have fun meeting bloggers in real life – it’s like you already know them going in!

    1. Lisa Eirene

My oldest kitty was a rescue so I only have a general idea of how old he is.

    2. evilcyber

Indeed, that’s a great age for a labrador!
