Ugh, I’m so glad Michael regained control of the car! I haven’t blogged about it yet (I’m not sure if I can yet since it might qualify as a criminal investigation?), but we were in a hit-and-run accident this weekend and our car is totaled. We got really lucky and escaped with only a couple of bumps, but I’m still feeling shaky.

The snowshoe looks pretty, but I hear ya on the snowmobiles – the sound and the smell really ruins the wilderness feel of a hike. 🙁

Oh no! I’m sorry. That’s really scary. I hope you guys are ok.

Glad you didn’t die either! LOL Looks like a lovely place to go for a birthday celebration! Glad you enjoyed yourselves!

Thanks Marie! It was a good trip.

Amazing pictures! It looks absolutely beautiful out there. And the snowshoeing looks fun as hell. You’d think that after living so long out here in Vermont I would have tried snowshoeing by now, but no. You’re pictures have me rethinking that sad little tidbit.

Sounds like you had an awesome trip. Nothing like a little scare to heighten the memories, eh?

    Cheers!

It is so much fun and such a good workout. I’m surprised you haven’t tried it! Get out there! I promise you will love it.

Wow, that place looks amazing!!! I love the little bear on your bed, lol! Glad you didn’t die, either! 🙂 Scary, but overall sounds like an amazing trip.

    1. Lisa Eirene

The bear was cute. I wish we could have kept it. 🙂

I’ve always wanted to stay at Suttle Lake! We’ve driven by it many, many times but never stopped. I’ll have to add it to my bucket list!

    1. Lisa Eirene

Oh you should stay there! It was a such a lovely place and the people were so nice. There was a free coffee bar in the lobby. With amazing teas, cocoa or cider, cookies and of course the nightly wine and cheese tasting! So much fun!

Yikes, sorry you had such a scary ride! But, otherwise, it looks like you had a wonderful time! I love the Sisters area. I still have yet to try snowshoeing, but it looks like so much fun. It is on my list of new things to do!

What mountain is in your pictures, Broken Top, maybe?

    1. Lisa Eirene

I’m not sure. There were a bunch around that area–Jefferson, Washington…and isn’t there one named 3 Finger Jack?

  8. Erin

Yes, there is a 3 fingered jack! I’m not very good at mountain identification either :-/ there are just so many in that area. Well, whatever mountain it is, it sure is beautiful!

When they are all covered in snow, who can tell??? 🙂
