I love that kind of date night! My husband and I don’t go out to dinner that often, but our favorite is breakfast or lunch – definitely cheaper than dinner out!

Lunch or breakfast are definitely more affordable and sometimes you have more options (especially in Portland with all the food carts).

ah, hon….I honestly didn’t know you were in a funk, but I’m glad you’re doing a little better now.

“I sat in front of the TV. For hours. And I definitely did some stress eating.” <—– this was our whole last year. Every night. Night after night. With NO working out. That's half the reason I made us move and get more natural exercise in our lives. Except when Cady was sick it was sit on the couch and stare at the dog every night for a month (and cry). That's why we're now headed off to a family wedding in the tropics, and I still need to drop 20 lbs again (which will not go unnoticed by Chris' family even if they don't say anything). Arrghhh.

Way to go with the date night. I suspect that there are other things at play but at least you got out and mixed it up a bit. Big hugs!

I’m sorry to hear that! But I totally understand. You guys had a lot of stuff going on all at the same time. I hope things are improving for you.

    113 miles/week, please.

I love the picnic idea. I’ll have to steal this since my husband is furloughed now and things are a little tighter.

It’s something I’ve wanted to do for awhile but the weather wasn’t cooperating. I think it will become a more frequent date this summer. Sorry you guys got furloughed! That’s rough.

Kudos to Michael on the bike miles – I am at about 1150 on the year now doing about 100 ish miles a week it certainly is a lot of exercise!

I like your picnic date night idea a lot. I’ll have to figure out a way we can do that – great way to enjoy the nice weather!
