Your slow cooker recipes sound great. I plan to make more slow cooker meals in the next few months. It’s just so nice to come home to a cooked meal!

I also always crave veggies & fruits when I am on vacation. I always make a point to eat salads and other veggies on the menu, but I always eat fewer veggies than at home. When I get home, I always get back to my green smoothies in the morning. They always make me feel much better right away.

Smoothies are a great idea. I didn’t think about that. Yes, I try to get salads and stuff on vacation but it’s not the same and not as much as I eat at home!

OK those recipes look amazing! Will have to make them ASAP!

When I was in the states for 3 weeks I made an effort to get fruit and veggies in. I KNEW it would be hard, so I made a point of visiting the local supermarket when I could and stocking up on fruit (even though it was banned in the hostel rooms – I’m such a badass) and also of ordering side salads or a side of veggies with dinner. It helped, as did all the walking I did. It is possible to lose weight on holiday!

That’s a great idea on going to the grocery store and just buying fruits and veggies. Smart!

I’m going to try your chicken tortilla soup recipe this week. Now that it is chilly in MA, I want soup all the time!

I love crockpot cooking and now that fall is here, I will be doing LOTS of soups!

It’s funny, I never have much of a hard time getting back on track because I miss my regular food! It feels so good to get back into my food routine.

I love my crock pot. I am going to try to make pumpkin bread in it this week for something really different.

I don’t have a hard time either. I miss veggies and fruit and my normal routine. Going back to portion control, however, is definitely hard!

I have yet to try bread in the crockpot. Would love to see how yours turns out…
