Love those spring photos!!! Getting sugar out of my diet helped me to quiet my brain and finally work (about 2 years) to stop binge eating. Not easy, but very worth it.

Sugar and grains. Ugh- fuel for the 40 years of binging. Glad to have pulled out of it and spend the next 40 years doing something different. 🙂

I’m spring cleaning my upstairs. It is very good! 🙂

I’m struggling to get sugar out of my diet but I’m trying.

Yesterday I had salad for lunch at work because it finally felt warm enough for salad. It’s definitely been soup weather for a longggg time.

I guess I’m weird because I eat salad and soup year round!

No spring cleaning this year. But I am planning spring painting. I’m painting the kitchen, living room, bathrooms, my bedroom and basement. That should keep me busy.

I so want to garden, but we don’t have room in our yard. I grow herbs, tomatoes, strawberries and lettuce/spinach in pots on my deck. I may try cucumbers this year.

As for challenging myself, I decided to give up alcohol for Lent. It’s a lot easier than I thought. Of course, my girls night out got postponed. That’s the big test.

I bet the house will look great when you’re done painting! We have so many house projects that are just piling up…

Have you tried growing veggies in pots?

Easier said then done when it’s Girl Scout cookie season around here. 🙂 I know they’re not worth it, I just have to remind myself!

Thankfully no Girl Scouts have been to my house!!!!

I totally revamp my life come spring.
for YEARS I didnt as there feels to be no seasonal difference in TEXAS—but here? NoCal? I clean declutter and refresh.

You make a good point–I bet season changes make a difference and if there isn’t one, how would you feel different?

Just went on a three week vegan cleanse myself (and I am a hardcore meatlover) – also not a super big fan of plain leafy salads, completely agree with your “healthier grains” section. So many of the dishes I made were quinoa based and I love them – really got me through the cleanse.
Moving forward it has replaced rice completely in my normal meals!

      Love quinoa. It’s so versatile!
