Beautiful hike! I’ve never been snowshoeing, but your pictures remind me of how much I miss the snow!

I’ve made mistakes on hikes before and grossly misjudged distances. I know that feeling when you have miles to go and think you can’t take one more step… Glad you all did fine!

Isn’t that hard? You think you’re good and then…boom not so much. We made it back and I didn’t screw up my knees so that’s good. But dang it was a struggle that last mile.

Cuuute!!! little puppy in the snow LOL!

I can’t even bear to think about going out in the snow right now. It is so, so cold here that all I want to do is bundle up under the heated fleece blanket πŸ˜€

I am sure!!! I bet you look at snow and think “screw that”!! But we rarely get REAL snow here in Portland so we have to go seek it out. πŸ˜€

Gah, that puppy is so cute!

Since its Summer here I spent my New Years day sitting in the sun, waking along the beach, and drinking iced coffees… It was awesome!

      JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! πŸ˜€

The puppy was adorable! I’d say just a few months old. It was having a BLAST in the snow. LOL

Wow, just wow: so beautiful and that coming from someone who doesn’t like snow and is happy that we haven’t had any last year and so far neither this year. However my Bella loves snow just like your Bella and that’s the only reason I sometimes like snow because she’s having so much fun.

What a great New Year tradition and what a great hike.

Isn’t it adorable watching dogs frolic in the snow? Pure bliss and that just makes me happy!

Nope it was actually really crowded on the mountain, but I think the space is so big it seems like you are all alone. πŸ™‚

Now that I live in perpetual heat & sun (HCMC, Vietnam), I really miss Mt. Hood. My husband would drag us up there every weekend to have a blast. Thanks for sharing a slice of home.

Wow, Vietnam! Will be checking out your blog to read the story.

Yeah, snowshoeing is serious for hunger-making and absolutely exhausting on the legs. πŸ™‚ Glad you had a good day & jealous you have a snow dog (all of mine have HATED snow).

She LOVES the snow. Like goes crazy in it. It’s so funny to watch.
