Sounds like a good plan to me!

Such an amazing time! Try to enjoy it as much as you can! My “baby” turns eight this week, and I fondly remember today (as well as the months prior) eight years ago… 🙂

      Thank you Andrea!
Enjoying the 2nd trimester so far. Excited for some movement. Hopefully soon!

I love how your mind has switched to what’s best for the baby and not just you – but it will be a win/win either way.

I was actually 185 pounds by the end of my pregnancy, but just three weeks later I was down to 150 – a lot of it was water weight. Sadly, I should have just started from there to get to my goal weight of 135 – only 15 pounds away, but getting a desk job and eating like crap brought me right back to 210 within a couple years.

I’m doing well mentally for the most part. The only time I get bummed out is once a month at the doctor when they weigh me. I’m trying to focus on the fact that my body will probably know how much to gain for the baby and as long as I don’t go hog wild “I’M EATING FOR TWO!!!” crazy, I hope it won’t get out of control.

Wow, 30 pounds in three weeks! Isn’t it crazy how much the amniotic fluid, baby and water take up on your body?? Crazy

I think it is an adjustment seeing as you have spent so long trying to get the scale down and keep it there. Keeping in mind what is good for the baby will certainly help you eat properly, as well as listening to your doc. You are doing great!

YES! It has been a huge adjustment. It’s a weird mental shift. For so long my goal was to lose weight, then keep it off…and seeing the scale climb would give me anxiety and I get right on the stick trying to remedy that. Suddenly I’m supposed to ignore that and it’s GOOD to see the scale go up…I admit I feel very disconnected from the number on the scale and the idea of gaining weight. Maybe it’s a defense mechanism, not sure.
