I love this post! Thanks for the information. For someone who has a goal to run a whole 5K (without walking) I have thought about “Running Rogue”. Paying for the races gets expensive, and I want to achieve my goal. So what is a girl to do? I too would feel weird about running and not paying, but races can get expensive! Maybe the race organizers could start to bundle a bunch for training purposes?

I hear ya! I want the practice but lack the funds!!! I wish there were enough cheaper races that I could afford to do.

I forgot to update my google reader with your new URL! I have to change that right away! I don’t think it’s right to participate in a race you didn’t pay for, but I totally get not being able to afford to enter, either. There should be some happy medium, I just can’t think of what that would be.
