I love when you post these! I’m only on #2 of the Gamache series, but I’m listening to the audiobook this time. 🙂

Ooh! What do you think of the Gamache books so far?

Thanks for doing this! I love your book reviews. Were ever you publish them I will follow.

I just finished A Million Little Things by Susan Mallery not my favorite of her but it was OK. Also read Night Watch by Irisis Johansen and her son Roy it was actually pretty good I thought a fast pace mystery that left me thinking about the characters after I was done reading which doesn’t happen often.
Looking for my next read now you gave me some ideas thanks!

      Thank you Susan!
I think I read Night Watch. It sounds familiar.

Thanks for some fresh picks, Lisa! I can recommend Underground Airlines by Ben Winters. A very interesting alternate history where slavery was never abolished, just limited to a small area of the south. The protaganist is a black man who works as a bounty hunter chasing down escaped slaves. It’s really well written, thought-provoking and disturbing, all at the same time. I also just finished the 3rd book in the Jussi Adler-Olson Department Q series – they are very good detective novels by a Danish author that you might like. Hope this is a bit of a payback for all the great suggestions you’ve given us here on your blog!

That first one sounds really interesting! I’ve added it to my list. Thanks for the recommendation.
I read the first two books in the Dept Q series…I’d forgotten about it. I need to check back in with it!
