Sadly my goal for the year is to read 12 books – a book a month – this year I read 8. Before I went back to work full time I read about 25. I don’t know how you do it! At night my husband and I watch tv together.

    Happy New Year!

      You have to start somewhere!
I read on the bus, on the elliptical at the gym and before bed. That adds up!

Thanks for always posting these. I’ve heard great things about Becoming, but I’m waiting for the availability of the audiobook from our library because I want to hear her voice!

I wanted the audio book too but you know, reading the book I still heard her voice!

Thanks for the latest picks, Lisa! I got a Barnes & Noble gift card for Christmas and I think I’m going to use it for Becoming. I can put it on my shelf next to The Audacity of Hope. Hubby actually got me the Barak Obama action figure for Christmas, too 🙂 I miss them…

I am currently reading the Mercedes Lackey Hunter series. It’s a YA series along the lines of Hunger Games and Divergent, but just enough different to be a fun read. And the books are shorter, too, so I’m able to get through them pretty quickly. I’m listening to After the Fall by Noah Hawley and it is really good so far – it’s one that I wish I had it in print as well, so I could listen in the car and then pick up where I left off at home! I managed to read 64 books this year (not counting audio books), 9 more than last year – woot! I don’t have a bus ride I can read on and can’t concentrate while on the elliptical, but I do read at lunch most every day, at bed time, while drying my hair (yes, I’m an addict!) and Tuesday nights are reading dinners at our house, so I get a chunk in then. My goal for next year is probably to do 65 – only one more, but I do want to do more non-fiction – 2018 I only read 10 non-fiction books, most of them memoirs.

    Happy 2019 reading!

Oops! It’s Before the Fall by Noah Hawley, got the title wrong…

That sounds like a really interesting book!

Great job on your goal! I read on my lunch break at work too. There definitely ways to squeeze in reading time. 🙂
