I have Spirit of the Marathon in my Netflix queue as well! I am excited to hear it is good only 20 minutes in. I can’t wait to watch it!

Autumn has DEFINITELY arrived in Utah. It’s gorgeous! Temps have fallen and I find myself walking outside into sunny weather and being surprised at how brisk it is outside. It makes for good running weather, if the sun would only stay outside longer! ๐Ÿ™‚

Both of my weight training days have me doing plank several times, and holding it for as long as possible. It’s incredible to see the progress made from the start (10 seconds) to now (30+ seconds).
I haven’t tried the Russian Twist. I do a lot of medicine ball high to low chops, which kind of feels like it works the same area.

Fall is here in Kentucky. Leaves are turning, but the temps. can’t figure out what to do. One day it’s 84, the next it’s 60.

I am really enjoying seeing visible changes after doing things just a few times. It’s very motivating!

LOL! I loved your dinner!! That’s exactly what my boyfriend makes for me ๐Ÿ˜› He loves mac n cheese and hotdogs!! Looking at your post today made me think I was reliving one of my nights at home ๐Ÿ˜‰ Good to know my boyfriend isn’t the only one who likes to make dinners like that!

P.S. Another great lower ab exercise you might like is Lying Hip Swings. Lie on your back with both legs straight on one side then both legs together lift up and over to the opposite side but try not to let them touch the ground as you go back and forth. 10 (2 count) is usually enough for me! ๐Ÿ˜› might also be known as a windshield wiper???

As much as I hate Plank, I love it because it’s such a challenge. It looks like it shouldn’t be that hard, right? And then you’re dying. Bless our muscles.

Bright and sunny in SEA today but fog in the mornings and a crisp snap in the air. I love it!

I’ve been wanting to watch Spirit of a Marathon, but I think I may have to watch it online or something because I have never seen it here

Yep autumn is here in the UK too, gloves in the mornings and dark at 6pm. I really miss the long summer evenings.

I am going to try some of those Russian twists over the weekend. I am looking to do some weights now I donโ€™t go running in the evenings. I donโ€™t belong to a gym so I am looking at exercises I can do at home with just some free weights.

Let me know how you like the exercises!

Want a challenging core exercise? Do a side plank! (Google it). When I started it, my scalp used to sweat. After a while, it gets much easier. I can no longer do planks of any kind as I have tendonitis in my elbows and two rotator cuffs in poor condition (not related to planks). So, I’m always looking for exercises that don’t strain my elbows and shoulders. They are very hard to find but when I do, they usually involve a stability ball.

The Russian Twist is now one of my favorite core exercises. I’ve told my friends it’s the easiest core exercise I’ve found that actually yields results!

I love the Russian Twist. Side Planks are hard for me too because of tendinitis in my wrist.

I hear you Lisa. I had to give up planks due to arm joint pain. Another great core exercise I do are “supermans”. They are brutal but get easier over time. They put no force on your joints – that’s why I love doing them!

I’ve never heard of supermans. I’ll have to check that one out.
