I always make the turkey dinner for my family! I actually cook the bird in the oven overnight on a low temperature…it makes it so moist and tender in the morning! It falls apart, so it isn’t the prettiest looking turkey you’ve ever seen, but it is definitely the tastiest!

Don’t stress–you will be fine! Also, your legs are ripped in that photo! They look crazy good!

At least you went to the gym!

I’m in total denial that Thanksgiving is sneaking up so fast. I have my final school project due Dec 1, and that’s all I can think about. Maybe we’ll have turkey meatloaf this year. (Last year Chris mashed an entire BAG of potatoes for the two of us! Like 10 lbs of potatoes. Crazy!)

Mashed potatoes are my absolute favorite!

I have done Thanksgiving dinner several times on my own. The turkey is easy. Just get your basic butterball and follow the enclosed instructions. Just make sure you baste it occasionally, you know, pouring the juices over the bird.

I wanted to grill our turkey this year, but my husband insists we can’t do it on our tiny grill. πŸ™

I am not a good cook. I know that. The few time we have hosted at our house, I had my mom make the turkey and stuffing and bring them since they are the integral part of the meal and I did not want to screw up with them!

      LOL That’s a good idea! πŸ˜‰

You can’t always have amazing workouts. And yes, something was definitely better than nothing..

and I would ALWAYS rather be on the couch with Dexter.

I just want to send you a quick thank you πŸ™‚

I read your blog every single day and the comment about “mostly walkers” on the treadmill hurt my feelings. *I* walk on the treadmill for 20 minutes every morning after 20 on the elliptical and 20 on the exercise bike. I’m just now at 197-198 lbs. and still feeling pretty self-conscious at the gym.

And do you know what happened?

I went to the gym the next morning and said SCREW walking. I’m going to run. And I did! And I have every day since then (4.5 mph 6-8 minute stretches, but it counts!) and I feel like I’m on top of the world- AND I’m not embarrassed anymore!

So thank you for kicking my butt in the right direction and helping me annoy a lot less people at the gym πŸ˜‰

Oh my intention was not to make anyone feel bad! I’m glad you found something positive out of my faux paus!
