LOVE supersets! I like them the most because it’s a great way to speed through exercises, and it keeps my heart rate up (I like getting tired and sweaty during workouts – no patience for waiting in between sets!). My favourite supersets are those that mix upper/lower body. Or doing opposing muscles like biceps/triceps.

It was really fun! I liked being sweaty and having my heart rate up too. I feel like it’s a better workout.

I love to do supersets and giant sets (3 in a row). It keeps the heart rate up and it means no dilly-dallying at the gym LOL!

Have a super Thanksgiving Lisa! I am glad I found your blog this year 😀

Thanks Lori, happy Thanksgiving to you too! I love reading your blog. I feel a kinship towards you, probably because we’ve had such similar journeys. 🙂

I pretty much just do supersets–probably not good, but I need to maximize my workout time. I usually pair up upper body and lower body moves, rotate through 3 sets of each, and then move on to another pair.

I described a typical program that I did at a hotel gym this weekend:

Thanks I will check it out.

Supersets are great. I currently do them 3 days per week, concentrating on different muscle groups each day. I love them because it keeps my heart rate in fat burning zone, and I’m also building muscle.

    Example: Today was arms/core:
    Machine Press/Cable curls/Med ball slams
    Tricep push downs/Plank/Seated lateral raise
Preacher curl/dumbbell shoulder press/standing lateral lifts
ABC stability ball (no idea the real name for this, but it’s on the ground doing hip thrusts with feet on the ball in 3 variations)/forward lunges/lateral lunges

I’ve yet to try the stability ball. Mostly because I’m not sure what to do!
