Part of the reason was going on vacation. The other reason was the last time I was on the trainer I had a flare up of my ITB injury. Michael suggested that I don&#8217;t push it so hard so fast on the bike trainer so I took his advice.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/freeweights.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12375\" title=\"freeweights\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/freeweights-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/freeweights-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/freeweights.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I set up my bike on the trainer and started my workout with the Nike Training Club App. This time I wanted to try something new. I did the Arm Definer first. It&#8217;s a 15 minute intense shoulder and arms workout.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/armdefiner.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12376\" title=\"armdefiner\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/armdefiner-207x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"207\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/armdefiner-207x300.jpg 207w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/armdefiner.jpg 320w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 207px) 100vw, 207px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nI really enjoyed this workout. The single leg arm curls were pretty easy with the 5 pound weights. I was able to do the modified tricep push-up even though I usually struggle with push-ups. I couldn&#8217;t do the medicine ball push-up so instead I used that time to do the Russian Twist.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/medicineball1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12377\" title=\"medicineball\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/medicineball1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/medicineball1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/medicineball1.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then I moved over to the Butt Buster. I modified this workout because I didn&#8217;t want to do a lot of lunges and squats for fear of irritating my knee. When it was time to do lunges I did the Russian Twist with my medicine ball.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/buttbuster.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12378\" title=\"buttbuster\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/buttbuster-206x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"206\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/buttbuster-206x300.jpg 206w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/buttbuster.jpg 320w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 206px) 100vw, 206px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nIt was nice working out at home with my TV shows. I watched an episode of &#8220;Lie to Me&#8221;. During my 30 minute workout with the App, I burned 240 calories.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/240.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12379\" title=\"240\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/240-e1296069137569-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/240-e1296069137569-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/240-e1296069137569.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThat&#8217;s really good for 30 minutes of working out at home. Then I hopped on the bike.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/bike1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12367\" title=\"bike\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/bike1-e1296061161862-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/bike1-e1296061161862-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/bike1-e1296061161862.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nI took it easy. I didn&#8217;t set the resistance too intense and I didn&#8217;t push it. It was a fairly easy 30 minute ride on the trainer. While it might have been &#8220;easy&#8221; the most important part was the fact that I didn&#8217;t have any pain during, after, or the next day. So I will build back up to harder workouts slowly.<\/p>\n<p>While I was on the bike I finished Lie to Me and started this week&#8217;s episode of Heavy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/heavytwitter.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12380\" title=\"heavytwitter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/heavytwitter-300x188.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/heavytwitter-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/heavytwitter.jpg 316w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nI&#8217;m not sure how long I will hang in watching Heavy. The first episode was powerful and I enjoyed it. But this episode didn&#8217;t really inspire that. I&#8217;m only half way through the episode so I won&#8217;t discuss it too much. However, it really bothers me that all the people on this show cry and scream about working out. They make it look like they are miserable and in some sort of forced labor camp where they don&#8217;t have a choice. That should NOT be the way it is.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the Rickywayne guy in this week&#8217;s episode was screaming at the personal trainer. I turned the TV off at this point. It felt like a trashy tabloid show instead of something positive.\u00a0 When I first started swimming to lose weight I didn&#8217;t cry. I didn&#8217;t bitch and moan about working out. When I eventually hired a personal trainer I didn&#8217;t scream at him or cry that it was &#8220;too hard.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Anyway. Despite the negative TV experience I enjoyed my workout and really liked how I modified it. I got in a good Ab\/Butt\/Arm workout for 30 minutes and then spent about 30 minutes on the bike. He bought two great look cuts of pork. I&#8217;ve mentioned a few times that pork is something we really struggle with. It&#8217;s overdone, dry, flavorless&#8230;but last night the curse was broken!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/pork1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12382\" title=\"pork1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/pork1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/pork1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/pork1.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe pork chop was perfect. We were ready to give up. They were so good. Michael said pork chops are now in our normal dinner rotation! I am both frightened and intrigued by this&#8230;what if it&#8217;s nasty? Like why ruin bacon AND chocolate by putting them together? But what if it&#8217;s awesome and I&#8217;m forever converted? Only time will tell. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><em>P.S. My butt is really sore from yesterday&#8217;s workout!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>QUESTION: What is your current favorite workout?
