Sure I&#8217;d eat black beans at a Mexican restaurant, or put chickpeas on my salads, but I never really invested my time or effort in eating beans. I have no idea why now because they are SO filling.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/beans1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-17743\" title=\"MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/beans1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/beans1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/beans1.jpg 461w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nHad I know this before I lost 100 pounds, I think I could have had an easier time losing weight if I ate a lot of beans. They are so high in fiber and they sit so heavy in the stomach it&#8217;s impossible to feel hungry after eating them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/DriedBeans.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-17744\" title=\"DriedBeans\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/DriedBeans-240x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/DriedBeans-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/DriedBeans.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nBeans are really versatile too. Add black beans to scrambled eggs with some salsa for a Mexican Scramble. Add beans to soups for more fiber and bulk. Eat lima beans or pinto beans as a side dish to dinner. Add them to pasta salads and regular salads&#8230;I&#8217;ve also seen people roast chickpeas (haven&#8217;t tried that yet) and eat them as snacks. Yum! I decided to try some cauliflower (one of my favorite veggies). I love it! The refried beans were an interesting and yummy addition. I almost liked that better than black beans I think. Even though it&#8217;s &#8220;just a salad&#8221;, it&#8217;s pretty filling.<\/p>\n<p>I was really hungry too because we&#8217;d spent hours in the garden beforehand. If anyone ever says gardening isn&#8217;t hard work, they&#8217;ve never done it.
