While this is a similar subject, I think it&#8217;s an even more important topic to discuss because these types of people ARE out there.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The Food Pusher:<\/span> &#8220;Just have a little piece&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The Paranoid Partner:<\/span> They think you&#8217;re going to leave them when you get &#8220;skinny&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The Mother Hen:<\/span> &#8220;You&#8217;re getting too skinny, you need to eat.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The Jealous Joker: <\/span>&#8220;Ordering another salad? You don&#8217;t eat real food.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">How to Deal with these Saboteurs<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">1. Be honest with them. Tell them what you&#8217;re trying to do and ask for their support.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">2. Get it &#8220;To Go&#8221; and then don&#8217;t eat it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">3. Have a small bite and tell them how great it is. Then STOP eating it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">4. Reassure your partner or friend that the relationship is not going to change when you get healthy. Invite them to join you in the journey!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">5. Tell them how important it is to you to get healthy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">6. If the relationship is truly toxic, limit your exposure to them the best you can.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Check out this article with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/articles\/A53597-2004Nov16.html\">Washington Post<\/a>. Their suggestion was to firmly say &#8220;No Thank You.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em><strong>QUESTION: Do you have any other suggestions for dealing with these situations?
