Yuck! Where is our summer?\u00a0So Saturday morning I went to the gym instead. I got on the stairmaster&#8211;the machine I used to love&#8211;and lost myself in the climb. I only planned on doing 20 minutes on it because I haven&#8217;t done it in so long (didn&#8217;t want to injure myself) but I got lost in the monotony. And I got lost in &#8220;Confessions of a Shopaholic.&#8221; Before I knew it, 50 minutes had passed.\u00a0I finished up with weights and my free weight routines, then did abs and stretching.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMG_7027.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-20447\" title=\"IMG_7027\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMG_7027-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMG_7027-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMG_7027-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMG_7027.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gym Stats:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Time: 1:27<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Calories Burned: 730<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Saturday afternoon we went to some friend&#8217;s house for a BBQ. It was their daughter&#8217;s first birthday. There were tons of babies there but luckily they were all happy babies. The babies all played together and were painfully adorable (repeat: <em>I do not want a baby right now. I do not want a baby right now. I do not&#8230;).\u00a0<\/em>There was tons of food. I made a green salad with lettuce from our garden with sliced strawberries, red onion and gorgonzola. Yum! I also brought freshly sliced watermelon (a hit with the toddlers who like finger food apparently).\u00a0They grilled up yummy burgers: beef with blue cheese and thyme in the meat. My burger had a slice of Havarti cheese too.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMG_7029.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-20448\" title=\"IMG_7029\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMG_7029-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMG_7029-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMG_7029-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMG_7029.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I sampled all of the salads that everyone brought. I used my tried and true method for tackling potlucks: just getting ONE SPOONFUL of everything. That&#8217;s usually enough food. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.skinnytaste.com\/2011\/06\/watermelon-martinis.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+weightwatcherspointsrecipes+%28Gina%27s+Skinny+Recipes%29\">Watermelon Martinis<\/a>! Michael thought they tasted like candy. It was a nice treat on a sort-of-summer day.
