Perhaps I set the bar low to make sure I could accomplish everything, but either way December was a success!<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">December Goals<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1. Work through the healthy recipes I\u2019ve been collecting. <em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Yes!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2. Take more Spin Classes. <em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Yes!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">3. Maintain my current weight during the holiday season. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>WOOHOO!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">4. Take some yoga classes more\u00a0regularly. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Yes!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>I did go to some yoga classes but I also incorporated a lot more yoga stretches into my regular stretching routine. This helped a lot. Michael got a pilates book from my mom for Christmas and we&#8217;re going to start working through the book together. I think these things will be beneficial to both of us.<\/p>\n<p>I made a nice dent in my recipe pile. Some of the recipes I tried in December:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p116Lc-6Y1\">Broccoli Salad<\/a>\u00a0,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=25509\">Garlic and Soy Chicken Thighs<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p116Lc-72Z\">Southwestern Stuffed Acorn Squash<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=26936\">Homemade Tomato Soup<\/a>, and\u00a0<a title=\"Permalink to Lentilles au Vin Blanc\" href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=24094\" rel=\"bookmark\">Lentilles au Vin Blanc<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I weighed in on December 30th and was <em>ecstatic<\/em>\u00a0that I hadn&#8217;t gained any weight. I was about the same as I was right after Thanksgiving (the last time I weighed myself). I successfully enjoyed and indulged during Christmas and didn&#8217;t gain. In fact, the weight lifting I&#8217;ve been doing have shrunk my thighs and my biceps!<\/p>\n<p>Weight: 145<br \/>\nHips: 35<br \/>\nWaist: 33<br \/>\nThighs: 18.5<br \/>\nBiceps: 11.5<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/xmas2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-27424\" title=\"xmas2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/xmas2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/xmas2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/xmas2.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t really do New Year&#8217;s Resolutions anymore. I really prefer making month goals and working through that stuff in baby steps. Without further ado, my first goals for 2012:<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #4376bc;\"><strong>January Goals<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #4376bc;\"><strong>1. Transition to working out in the mornings whenever I can (to avoid the massive crowds after work) or work out at home.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #4376bc;\"><strong>2. Get back into running. I really miss running during my lunch hour at work. Ideally I&#8217;d like to do that once a week &#8211;weather permitting and body permitting. While January is not the best month to get back to running outside, it would be ideal in my attempt to avoid the gym crowds.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #4376bc;\"><strong>3. Learn how to use my new camera to take better photos for my blog.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #4376bc;\"><strong>4. Finish the first draft of my book. I am 95% done with the first draft. This is completely doable!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>I am excited to get started on my goals. I think I have some really good ones this month. And if I can accomplish #2, maybe I can start setting some goals involving racing again!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>QUESTION: How did you survive the end of the year?
