I was 20 minutes late but I jumped right in the second I got there. In the past I skipped the class if I was late because I thought&#8230;why bother? This time I figured part of the class was better than none of it. I&#8217;d rather get in some cycling even if it&#8217;s only 30 or 40 minutes than go weeks in between making the class. Not only that, I&#8217;m really enjoying the classes. They are something new and FUN. And that&#8217;s what&#8217;s important in fitness&#8211;making it FUN and not a chore. I was 100% bored with my old routine. It was time for a change. After I get sick of spin, I&#8217;m trying Body Pump next. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>The Tuesday class was more crowded (or maybe everyone was just trying to\u00a0preemptively\u00a0work off that turkey and stuffing) but I found a free bike in the back.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/SPIN11.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-26329\" title=\"SPIN11\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/SPIN11-e1322026522455-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/SPIN11-e1322026522455-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/SPIN11-e1322026522455.jpeg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I missed the warm-up but that was alright. I was raring to go. This class was a little different. For half of the class we did intervals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>1 min 40 seconds of slow, hard hill climbs out of the saddle then&#8211;<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>Immediately going into a fast sprint sitting in the saddle<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>Rinse, repeat! Many times!<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was a fun, different routine. Just when the hill climbs were getting hard, I was sitting back in the saddle racing as fast as I could. The second half of the class was spent doing sprints in 50, 40, 30, 20 second increments. I definitely felt like my heart rate got higher on the hill climbs than they did with the sprinting. But in my newbie opinion, the spin bikes kind of &#8220;help&#8221; with momentum. It&#8217;s very different sprinting on a stationary bike compared to doing it out in the open on a regular bike. In my opinion, at least.<\/p>\n<p>I got in 40 minutes of the spin class and then spent about 20 minutes finishing up my cardio on the elliptical. I finished my workout with weights. I focused on the free weights and increased the weight amount (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=25093\">per Suzanne<\/a>) a little bit. It&#8217;s just too easy to get used to lifting the same amounts each time. I needed the reminder.<\/p>\n<p>I was a hot mess by the time I got home. Thankfully, Michael made a bitchin&#8217; dinner. Paninis!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_2490.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-26324\" title=\"IMG_2490\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_2490-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_2490-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_2490-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I picked up a small loaf of pugliese bread for the sandwiches. Michael brushed the bread with olive oil and sprinkled some dried Italian seasoning on them, then layered the bread with slices of ham, leftover Italian meats from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=25188\">my dinner party<\/a> and fresh mozzarella.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_2493.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-26327\" title=\"IMG_2493\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_2493-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_2493-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_2493-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These sandwiches were to die for. After I finished my panini I kinda wanted a second one. \ud83d\ude1b But I had a nice salad to go with my dinner.
