It was in the high 90&#8217;s and expected to be 100+ by the 4th of July&#8230;Ooof. That&#8217;s a little too hot for me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Breakfast<\/strong> &#8211; I had two fried eggs with hot sauce and a toasted English muffin with cinnamon and Splenda, unsweetened iced tea. <em>Calories: 338<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bike11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-47357\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bike11.jpg\" alt=\"bike1\" width=\"530\" height=\"707\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bike11.jpg 530w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bike11-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 530px) 100vw, 530px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I drove to the Park and Ride and then set out. I wore my arm-warmers but probably didn&#8217;t need them. I was a bit on the hot side, even though it was only 7 am! I was feeling really good on my bike ride in. It was quiet on the Springwater Trail.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bike21.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-47356\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bike21.jpg\" alt=\"bike2\" width=\"530\" height=\"707\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bike21.jpg 530w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bike21-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 530px) 100vw, 530px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nI passed OMSI and was biking up the circular &#8220;on-ramp&#8221; to get to the Hawthorne Bridge and some runner was running on the wrong side of the path and almost crashed right into me as I was climbing up the ramp! Ugh! So frustrating. We almost crashed but she jumped out of the way just in time. Which was good because it&#8217;s kind of a steep climb and I was clipped in to my pedals and there was no way I could have unclipped in time. Thankfully I didn&#8217;t fall over.<\/p>\n<p>I biked on the waterfront and saw they were setting up for the Blues Festival. I used to love going to that every year!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bike31-e1435678371174.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-47355\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bike31-e1435678371174.jpg\" alt=\"bike3\" width=\"400\" height=\"251\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nIt was a good, slightly humid, bike ride into work. I was a little bit slower this time and didn&#8217;t burn as many calories as last time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bike4-e1435678454128.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-47354\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/bike4-e1435678454128.jpg\" alt=\"bike4\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Morning Stats<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Time: 37 minutes<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Miles: 7.92<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Calories Burned: 332<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For my mid-morning <strong>Snack<\/strong> I had cottage cheese and some blueberries. <em>Calories: 118.\u00a0<\/em>I ate my snack about 30 minutes earlier than normal. I was SO HUNGRY.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/snack.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-47366\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/snack.jpg\" alt=\"snack\" width=\"943\" height=\"707\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/snack.jpg 943w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/snack-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 943px) 100vw, 943px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>During my lunch break I went for a walk. The AC in the office was on pretty high and I spent most of the morning cold (crazy, I know). The walk was nice. It wasn&#8217;t TOO hot outside yet. I walked just under 2 miles. I tried to stay in the shade as much as I could. If I kept moving it was okay. I created enough of a breeze. But dang it, when I stopped to rest or drink some water it was HOT.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/91.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-47381\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/91-233x300.jpg\" alt=\"91\" width=\"233\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/91-233x300.jpg 233w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/91.jpg 549w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 233px) 100vw, 233px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was feeling pretty good on the ride so I decided to keep going. Instead of going directly to the park and ride, I kept going up the trail towards Johnson Creek. We will see. Maybe next week I will give it a try. Sounds weird after such a hot ride but I wanted to relax my muscles a bit. They felt good but\u00a0<em>just in case<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dinner<\/strong> &#8211; Dinner was delicious (and I was famished). 4.5 ounces of melt-in-your-mouth steak, steamed broccoli with Goddess Dressing and sauteed sweet potatoes. And a glass of red wine. I was so slow. My legs felt like they were weighted down with concrete blocks. I just could not find the energy to go for a 1 mile walk! Crazy. I was just pooped.
