By splurge, I mean splitting a slice of cake\/cheesecake with someone else. Just a taste, a few bites&#8230;it usually satisfies the craving.<\/p>\n<p>But I don&#8217;t deny myself dessert. Deny myself dessert (something I LOVE) is setting myself up for a <strong>disastrous binge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve referred to the <a href=\"..\/?p=1591\">90\/10 Rule<\/a> on my website a few times. It means being good 90% of the time but once in awhile a treat is definitely deserved!<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps I eat dessert (several times a week) out of habit. I don&#8217;t know. What I do know is that<span style=\"color: #000080;\"> I need to make healthy, low calorie choices for my dessert if I want to stay healthy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>So here are some healthy dessert ideas. Some things to satisfy the sweet tooth, without totally breaking the calorie bank.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Raspberry Sorbet:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/sorbet1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5135\" title=\"sorbet1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/sorbet1-e1282277090394-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/sorbet1-e1282277090394-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/sorbet1-e1282277090394.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>It&#8217;s a small container (one of those ice cream &#8220;minis&#8221;) and the entire container is 110 calories.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/sorbet2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5136\" title=\"sorbet2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/sorbet2-e1282277140350-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/sorbet2-e1282277140350-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/sorbet2-e1282277140350.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Light Vanilla Ice Cream (churned):<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Light Vanilla ice cream with Light chocolate syrup is about 160 or 180 calories (depending on how much you use). The sliced strawberries on top are &#8220;free&#8221; calories in my opinion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/strawberry.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5137\" title=\"strawberry\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/strawberry-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/strawberry-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/strawberry.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>I&#8217;m out of the Light Chocolate Syrup and for some strange reason I cannot find it any stores. It may seem silly to be looking for &#8220;light&#8221; chocolate syrup but the Light\u00a0 saved me about 40 calories! That&#8217;s a lot. Especially if you use 2 servings. That&#8217;s 80 calories.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/icecream.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6259\" title=\"icecream\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/icecream-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/icecream-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/icecream.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Another option is light vanilla ice cream with a handful of chocolate chips. Still a low calorie dessert and it&#8217;s yummy!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Freshly Baked Cookies:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you are craving the warm, gooey-ness of freshly baked cookies&#8211;pick up the miniature cookies at the store. They are 130 calories a serving and 3 mini cookies are 1 serving. You get the yumminess of chocolate chip cookies without it costing you 300+ calories.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/cookies1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6273\" title=\"cookies1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/cookies1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/cookies1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/cookies1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/cookies1.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Already Made:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Smart Ones has a line of frozen desserts that are healthier options than splurging on something really fattening. They have the Weight Watchers Points on the box, too.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/smartones.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6269\" title=\"smartones\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/smartones.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"136\" \/><\/a>They are usually under 200 calories, too.<\/p>\n<p>Another frozen goody is the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches. I LOVE these things! It&#8217;s dangerous when Michael gets them at Costco. Knowing I have 20 ice cream sandwiches in the freezer can be a slippery slope.
