We intended to do <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oregonhikers.org\/field_guide\/Dublin_Lake_Hike\">Dublin Lake Hike<\/a> but I think we ended up doing Tanner Butte, or part of it anyways. The trailhead was Tooth Rock, right of I-84 at the Bonneville Dam, and it was a huge parking lot and apparently there were several hikes that started at that trailhead. It was pretty overgrown at the beginning.<\/p>\n<p>It started out as a pretty strenuous climb right away.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-52496\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/IMG_9790-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"695\" height=\"464\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/IMG_9790-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/IMG_9790-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/IMG_9790-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 695px) 100vw, 695px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>About 1\/4 mile up the trail we came to several downed trees (why do we keep going on hikes that have fallen trees blocking the trail?!?). The first one was the only difficult one to get around. I crawled underneath it and then took Logan in the back pack while Michael crawled under. It was quiet and peaceful and really pretty. It was kind of a maze of different forks. I tried to follow the instructions for the hike we wanted to do but I am still not sure if I did it right! The trail was gone. So we had to turn around and go back down. Not fussy at all. This was really nice! It&#8217;s free, 45 minutes drive from Portland and a good workout. (FYI there is no bathroom at the trailhead.)
