Despite the setbacks of an injury, I think I accomplished my<a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=5784\"> November Goals<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Try the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=8978\">Spinning Bike<\/a> at the new gym. <em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">CHECK!<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Take a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=8486\">Turbo Kick<\/a> boxing class at my gym.\u00a0 <em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">CHECK!<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0Do NOT gain weight during the holidays! <em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Meh&#8230;..<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The verdict is still out on whether I gained weight from Thanksgiving. I don&#8217;t weigh in for another week or so. I&#8217;m trying to reign in the calories for the next month to keep with the &#8220;don&#8217;t gain during the holidays&#8221; theme.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/december1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-9696\" title=\"december1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/december1-300x210.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/december1-300x210.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/december1.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>November was a cool month because of the fun things I did. Lots of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=8336\">cooking<\/a>, trying <a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=8848\">new recipes<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=9461\">holiday treats<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/turkeyday.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-9657\" title=\"turkeyday\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/turkeyday-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/turkeyday-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/turkeyday.jpg 604w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/turkey.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-9658\" title=\"turkey\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/turkey-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/turkey-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/turkey.jpg 604w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Even with the holiday treats (Halloween, Thanksgiving), I maintained my workouts and focused on strength training.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/weight_loss_forum.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-9660\" title=\"weight_loss_forum\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/weight_loss_forum-300x203.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/weight_loss_forum-300x203.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/weight_loss_forum.jpg 385w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>I&#8217;m happy that I stayed on track and didn&#8217;t get too derailed from the over-indulging or potential slacking off&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This summer I made some monthly goals for myself. According to that, my December Goals would be:<\/p>\n<p>1. Improve my 5k Race time.<\/p>\n<p>2. Register for 2011 running races!<\/p>\n<p>3. Lose 2 pounds.<\/p>\n<p>Hm. Then I got myself injured. Fail. Pretty sure those goals aren&#8217;t going to work for me right now. So along the same lines as November, I&#8217;m keeping my goals simple and achievable.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/december.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-9697\" title=\"december\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/december-300x272.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"272\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/december-300x272.gif 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/december.gif 550w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>December Goals<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>1. Maintain current weight. Don&#8217;t gain weight.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>2. Try one new recipe each week that challenges me.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>3. Continue the hip strengthening exercise and strength training.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>4. Try to live in the moment and be happy with what I have, not worrying about what I DON&#8217;T have.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>5. Begin training for my first Century Ride!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Starting this month I&#8217;m going to get on the bike trainer once a week to get used to the bike again. In January I will increase the time I spend on the bike trainer and hopefully my IT band will cooperate and I can continue my training.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=8812\">The Portland Century<\/a> is in July. I know that I can do 55 miles <a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=1445\">with minimal training<\/a> because that&#8217;s what I did for Reach the Beach. I sort of half-assed the bike riding during the spring and then two months before<a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=1879\"> Reach the Beach<\/a> Michael and I started biking every weekend.<\/p>\n<p>He commuted to work by bike as many days a week as he could. I wasn&#8217;t. I was running for my workouts during the week because I was training for Hood to Coast at the same time. The weekends were the only time I had available for the long, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=1106\">all day bike rides<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A Century? I need to be more focused in my training. 2011 will be structured and focused!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>QUESTION: What are you looking forward to most for 2011?
