Woohoo!! First vaccine done!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don’t know how it is in the rest of the country (but per Instagram, it seems incredibly easy everywhere else) but getting a vaccine in Oregon is INCREDIBLY hard. It has been so frustrating! It really should not be this hard and it makes me worried about the people who don’t have computer access or the ability\/time to obsessively check every day for new appointments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite that, Michael and I were able to get appointments through our insurance. Thankfully a friend on Twitter who has the same insurance posted about the new appointments available and I jumped on it! So thankful!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The whole process was super easy and didn’t take long. The shot itself was painless. Then we had to wait a bit afterward to make sure we were ok. All in all the whole thing took 1 hour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We both felt ok afterward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No side effects. Slightly sore arm but it was barely noticeable. I had a very small, minor headache that wasn’t significant enough to even take a Tylenol. No fever. No other side effects. I went for a run the next day and my heart rate was really high. This is usually a sign that I am about to get sick or fighting off something. So maybe that was my body reacting to the vaccine. Who knows!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know the second dose is usually the one that causes more side effects. We’ll find out in a month! <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
