I wanted to share a few of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One thing I&#8217;ve been doing lately is making my own salad dressing. I love it! It&#8217;s easy, tasty, and much healthier than bottled stuff. Michael and I both love blue cheese dressing. I used to buy the Lighthouse brand, which is delicious, but it has a bunch of extra stuff in it. Like one thing I think is canola oil? Which is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/nutrition\/is-canola-oil-healthy#health-impact\">not necessarily the best oil for you<\/a>.  Some dressings have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wwf.org.uk\/updates\/8-things-know-about-palm-oil\">palm oil<\/a> in them, which is apparently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/nutrition\/palm-oil#TOC_TITLE_HDR_6\">not great for your heart<\/a>.  (I prefer things like Olive or Avocado Oil.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve tried a few different recipes now and have tweaked some to get the recipe just right. Here is one that I&#8217;ve liked so far (sorry I don&#8217;t have a link):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Blue Cheese Dressing<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">1 cup sour cream<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">1\/2 cup mayo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">3 TB buttermilk or heavy cream<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">3 tsp red wine vinegar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">1\/4 tsp garlic salt (I used a little more than that)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Pepper<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">4 ounces crumbled blue cheese (I used 5 oz)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Chives, diced<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Dash of Worcestershire sauce (not too much because it make it sweet)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I like this recipe a lot. There was one I made before this that was not my favorite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-rounded\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/stilton-cheese.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"627\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/stilton-cheese-1024x627.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-59779\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/stilton-cheese-1024x627.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/stilton-cheese-300x184.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/stilton-cheese-768x470.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/stilton-cheese.jpg 1443w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.loveandlemons.com\/lemon-vinaigrette\/#wprm-recipe-container-48434\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-purple-color\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lemon Vinaigrette<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>1\/4&nbsp;cup&nbsp;fresh lemon juice<\/li><li>1&nbsp;small garlic clove,&nbsp;grated<\/li><li>1&nbsp;teaspoon&nbsp;Dijon mustard<\/li><li>1\/4&nbsp;teaspoon&nbsp;sea salt,&nbsp;more to taste<\/li><li>Freshly ground black pepper<\/li><li>1\/2&nbsp;teaspoon&nbsp;honey or maple syrup,&nbsp;optional<\/li><li>1\/4 to 1\/3&nbsp;cup&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2Mm3S0m\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">extra-virgin olive oil<\/a><\/li><li>1\/2&nbsp;teaspoon&nbsp;fresh or dried thyme,&nbsp;optional<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, garlic, mustard, salt, pepper, and honey, if using.<\/li><li>Drizzle in the olive oil while whisking and continue to whisk until the dressing is emulsified. Alternatively, combine everything in a jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake to combine.<\/li><li>If your dressing is too tangy, add more olive oil, to taste.<\/li><li>Add the thyme, if desired, and season to taste. Store in the fridge for up to 1 week. The olive oil will solidify a bit in the fridge. To soften, let the dressing sit at room temp for a few minutes and stir before using.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It was super delicious! I had to change a little bit&#8211;it was very very tart.
