It’s been a month since my first shot<\/a>! On Monday Michael and I went in for our second shot. The first one was quick, easy and fairly painless. I was little nervous about the second because of stuff I’ve heard from people. But I was prepared!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time was just as easy. The shot didn’t hurt but my arm felt sore immediately. This was a little different than the first time. We went home and I went back to work. I drank a ton of water and Gatorade throughout the day to try and help any symptoms I might have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did it go? My arm started to feel sore about 6 hours after the shot. Like really sore. I could barely move it without pain. Thankfully, that went away a few hours later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I went to bed, thinking I wasn’t going to have any symptoms. I woke up several times in the night freezing cold and sweating like crazy. I definitely had a fever! Michael said he felt cold overnight too, but not sweaty. When I got up Tuesday I had a horrible headache that never really got better after I got up. My neck hurt a bit too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A hot shower felt nice. I laid on the couch for a few hours resting. Maya joined me. ) I felt tired and lethargic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I took it easy for the rest of the day. The headache was the worst part. I took 3 Advil, which didn’t work at all, and ended up taking one of my Imitrex (migraine med). Michael and I went for a walk mid morning and we both had high heart rates. Weird. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By lunch time I felt much better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I picked up some take out Mexican food for dinner. Michael was pretty tired still and neither of us felt super motivated to plan or make a meal. We split a burrito and shared some chips and pico. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
