How I started my morning on Saturday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the hot tub with an iced coffee. Relaxing in the cool morning desert air, slight breeze, full sun and the sound of birds. It was absolutely perfect! Zoey was still asleep, Logan was playing cards with my mom. Finally<\/em> a moment of “vacation”! LOL Traveling with kids is not really a vacation, not that I am complaining, but it’s a LOT of work and there’s really no downtime. Although, traveling with my parents is nice because they can give us breaks from the kids. So I take little breaks when I can–naps with Zoey, quiet moments outside in the sun, going for a walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Normally when we go to Bend I’d be up and out for a run. I am really struggling with not being able to do that. This trip just looks different this time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we had a lazy morning and had breakfast tacos outside on the deck and then got started with our day of “Adventures.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We packed a picnic lunch and went to Pine Nursery Park<\/a>. It looked really cool online and had a playground. We arrived and it was PACKED. Apparently there was a huge lacrosse tournament going on and there hundreds of people and booths. The parking lots were all full but we lucked out and got two spots! We walked around and found the playground and it had a covered picnic area, which was perfect. It kept it cooler and there was a little breeze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Logan spent the whole time playing on toys! \ud83d\ude00 The park was huge. 159 acreas with multiple baseball diamonds, fields, trails, dog park, pond, playground, pickleball, sandy volleyball court, disc-golf. Really a cool place. I’d like to go back and explore the hiking trails next time. We spent about 3 hours there just hanging out. We stopped for ice cream on the way home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then back to the house to cool down. Michael and I got to escape for an hour to get some beer! We went to Boneyard<\/a>, our favorite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For dinner, we ended up getting the El Sancho tacos again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s basically our new favorite restaurant. I am still thinking about it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday we packed up to head home. It was such a good weekend and a much needed break. And even though I was disappointed we didn’t do any hiking or running, it was actually a RELAXING vacation–not something we usually do. We are usually so active and go go go. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We managed to time the drive perfectly for Zoey’s nap. We made it about 90 minutes before she woke up. She was a little fussy but not too much. The drive home was easy and much better than the drive there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
