<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\nFor our anniversary this year my parents babysat the kids for a few days and we stayed at the McMenamin’s in Gearhart<\/a>. We’ve never been to this one before. I’ve never actually been to Gearhart! It’s a quiet beach town, not much to do or see. It’s about 10 minutes north of Seaside and it’s about 20 minutes south of Astoria, so a nice location!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The nice thing about this McMenamin’s hotel is that every room had a bathroom! (Instead of European style like Edgefield.) The location was nice, about a 5 minute walk from the beach. There was a golf course and a little putting course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n We got there Saturday afternoon and went to the beach for a bit then had dinner and dessert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n We also finally got to watch Top Gun Maverick. With the kids and our busy schedule, we rarely get to watch a movie from start to finish so it was nice to relax and watch the movie! It was fantastic! So good!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sunday we slept in a little and got breakfast in Astoria. Then we went to Fort Stevens<\/a> and walked around. Fort Stevens is a historical site. It’s also a great place for camping! We used to go as kids. There’s a ton of bike trails. I remember it being so fun as a kid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Also, there’s a shipwreck<\/a>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n We got some good relaxing time in on Sunday, played a little putt putt golf, watched a movie, had happy hour, then went to Seaside for a bit. It was such a nice, relaxing time. Monday we got up to gray and drizzle.
