It&#8217;s my favorite time of year. It&#8217;s only been about a week or so since I started it and I already really enjoy (and&#8212;GASP&#8211;kinda look forward to) lifting weights. I warmed up on the exercise bike for 15 minutes. Nothing too fast or difficult. Then I went upstairs to do weights.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3335.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6470\" title=\"IMG_3335\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3335-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3335-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3335-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3335.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>I&#8217;m still focusing on my upper body: arms, abs, chest, shoulders, back.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3336.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6471\" title=\"IMG_3336\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3336-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3336-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3336-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3336.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>The weight I do depends on the machine. It could be anywhere from <span style=\"color: #800080;\">10 pounds to 40 pounds<\/span>. I do a circuit of the machines. I&#8217;ll do <span style=\"color: #800080;\">2 or 3 sets of 10<\/span> and then move on to the next machine and do the same. I do the circuit 3 times.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3337.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6472\" title=\"IMG_3337\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3337-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3337-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3337-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3337.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In just one week, I can already notice a difference in my abilities with the <strong>ab machines<\/strong>. They shook a bit with certain machines I used. The other part of my body that I wish would improve are my Triceps. It&#8217;s strange because with swimming you&#8217;d think my triceps would be really developed and muscular. Nope!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_33401.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6476\" title=\"IMG_3340\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_33401-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_33401-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_33401-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_33401.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>I&#8217;ve got a bit of the &#8220;Lunch Lady Arms&#8221; aka &#8220;Granny Arms&#8221; when it comes to my triceps. My biceps and deltoids are actually super developed because of the swimming. I have huge shoulders.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Pec-deck-rear-deltoid.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6478\" title=\"Pec-deck-rear-deltoid\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Pec-deck-rear-deltoid-268x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"268\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Pec-deck-rear-deltoid-268x300.png 268w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Pec-deck-rear-deltoid.png 274w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 268px) 100vw, 268px\" \/><\/a>BUT still flab on my underarms. My triceps were screaming at me a little bit during my workout. I hope that means it&#8217;s WORKING!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3343.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6477\" title=\"IMG_3343\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3343-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3343-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3343-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3343.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>I ventured over to the &#8220;Scary Free Weight Section&#8221; of the gym where all the muscle guys work out. I am no longer intimidated to go over there! Okay&#8211;so I am a little intimidated to use about 75% of those weights but still, I go over there now and use what I can.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3344.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6479\" title=\"IMG_3344\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3344-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3344-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3344-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_3344.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>I DID test out my legs at the gym today. No, I did not run. I tried two leg weight machines. I didn&#8217;t quite get a Runner&#8217;s High but I definitely got pumped up! It&#8217;s from the movie &#8220;Office Space&#8221; (awesome movie)! It made me chuckle. And workout just a little bit harder. Then I cooled down on the exercise bike for 10 minutes or so. I am really satisfied with the workout I did and I&#8217;m REALLY excited to see some progress soon!
