In fact, &#8220;only about 5% of American adults do some type of vigorous physical activity on any given day, according to the results of a new study.&#8221; 5%?? Wow! I was floored by that number. I was not expecting it to be so low.<\/p>\n<p>The article went on to describe the\u00a0sedentary\u00a0lifestyles of Americans. \u00a0For example, many people reported that their only form of exercise was from &#8220;eating and drinking (95.6%) and watching television\/movies (80.1%), or light activities such as washing, dressing and grooming (78.9%), and driving a car, truck or motorcycle (71.4%).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>QUESTION: How often do you exercise? How do you fit it into your busy schedule?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/watchingtv.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7222\" title=\"watchingtv\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/watchingtv-300x266.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/watchingtv-300x266.png 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/watchingtv.png 350w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>One of the biggest complaints people have about how hard it is to lose weight is: &#8220;I don&#8217;t have time to exercise.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>My school of thought is that there are always ways to find time to exercise and it makes me feel better to move so I love doing it!\u00a0I always find time to fit in my workouts. It&#8217;s important to me.<\/p>\n<p>There are ways to fit it in. I walk 2 miles to my office from where I park. I could easily take the bus (and if it&#8217;s pouring rain I often to opt for the bus) but walking briskly for 25 minutes to work makes me alert and happy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/running.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7223\" title=\"running\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/running-300x258.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"258\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/running-300x258.gif 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/running.gif 413w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>When I was running, I ran on my lunch break. It saved me money because I didn&#8217;t eat lunch out, and I also didn&#8217;t go shopping on my lunch break. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>I make sure to find time to work out on the weekends because I have more free time and the gym is usually less crowded.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/betterthandead.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7477\" title=\"betterthandead\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/betterthandead-300x244.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"244\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/betterthandead-300x244.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/betterthandead.jpg 319w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Don&#8217;t get me wrong&#8230;there are definitely days when I&#8217;m feeling less than motivated. Most of the time I get over that once I drag my butt to the gym.
