It&#8217;d been a few weeks since I was able to participate and I missed chatting with everyone! There were a lot of good questions in last night&#8217;s chat. Here&#8217;s one:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>QUESTION: What is happiness to you?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>It proved to be more difficult than I thought to participate while on a treadmill but I did my best. During the &#8220;walk&#8221; portion I would type or catch up on tweets, then I&#8217;d jog. Needless to say, it took me longer to complete the 1.5 miles. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/runtime.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7879\" title=\"runtime\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/runtime-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/runtime-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/runtime.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Actually it took a lot longer than last time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/milehalf.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7880\" title=\"milehalf\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/milehalf-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/milehalf-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/milehalf.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>After the walk\/jog for 1.5 mile, I began lifting weights.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/weightliftingcomic.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7881\" title=\"weightliftingcomic\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/weightliftingcomic-282x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"282\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/weightliftingcomic-282x300.jpg 282w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/weightliftingcomic.jpg 377w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 282px) 100vw, 282px\" \/><\/a>I quickly realized something surprising: <span style=\"color: #800080;\">THE WEIGHTS WERE TOO LIGHT!<\/span> Every machine I did (that I normally do) was too <strong>EASY<\/strong>! Could it be that I had broken through another plateau?<\/p>\n<p>I was pretty excited. I increased the weight on almost every machine I use and had a fantastic workout. There was one triceps machine that I did not increase the weight with. That&#8217;s definitely an area of my body I still struggle with.<\/p>\n<p>After the weight lifting, I worked on my core and strengthened my hips:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/strengthening.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7884\" title=\"strengthening\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/strengthening-e1287589516400-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/strengthening-e1287589516400-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/strengthening-e1287589516400.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>I have three hip and IT Band <a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=7350\">strengthening exercises<\/a> I do. I see some progress since starting them three weeks ago. I don&#8217;t shake as much, but I&#8217;m not quite strong on my right side either. I hope that continues to improve.<\/p>\n<p>I ran into an old coworker at the gym. She said she was taking the Turbo Kickboxing class and said I should join her. Since my workout was over I said maybe next week. Now that I&#8217;ll know someone in the class that might push me to do it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gym Stats:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Time: 1:30<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Calories Burned: 601<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Routine: Treadmill, weights, core, stretching, strengthening<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/workouttime.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7887\" title=\"workouttime\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/workouttime-e1287590004105-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/workouttime-e1287590004105-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/workouttime-e1287590004105.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>I accidentally reset my watch before I could take a picture of my workout stats so I had to look in the &#8220;Diary.&#8221; Luckily it was the first workout of the week.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/calories1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7888\" title=\"calories\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/calories1-e1287590073411-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/calories1-e1287590073411-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/calories1-e1287590073411.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I got home and immediately drank my Glutamine muscle recovery drink.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/glutamine.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7886\" title=\"glutamine\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/glutamine-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/glutamine-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/glutamine.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>I liked the orange flavor better.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/glutamine2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7891\" title=\"glutamine2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/glutamine2-e1287590322515-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/glutamine2-e1287590322515-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/glutamine2-e1287590322515.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>I used my foam roller and then fixed leftovers for dinner. I reheated the last of the brown rice, steamed some veggies, and reheated the leftover burger patties from my magazine dinner.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dinner16.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7892\" title=\"dinner1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dinner16-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dinner16-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dinner16.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>I used Goddess Dressing on the veggies.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dinner25.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7893\" title=\"dinner2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dinner25-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dinner25-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/dinner25.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Reheated burger patties do not turn out very well. I didn&#8217;t eat much of them. Oh well.
