I started to feel crappy as the day progressed and I knew I was probably getting yet another head cold. \ud83d\ude41 Since it hadn&#8217;t even been a month since my last cold, I half thought maybe it was allergies instead.<\/p>\n<p>I got to the gym (fancy gym) and all the treadmills were full. Full of mostly walkers. Ugh! Annoyed! I went upstairs and half-assed my weight lifting. I just wasn&#8217;t into it. I warmed up on a few of the weight machine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4231.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-8913\" title=\"IMG_4231\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4231-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4231-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4231-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4231.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>Then I ventured over to the FreeMotion weight machines hoping that would spark some interest in me. It helped a little bit.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4225.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-8910\" title=\"IMG_4225\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4225-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4225-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4225-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4225.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>To be honest I was a tad intimidated by the FreeMotion machines and avoided them until recently. They are pretty fun to workout on. They are more like lifting with free weights than the machines.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4226.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-8911\" title=\"IMG_4226\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4226-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4226-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4226-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4226.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>I enjoyed myself! Even if I was half-assing the workout out. Why do I say I half-assed it?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">My heart wasn&#8217;t in it at all. I would have much rather been home on the couch with Dexter episodes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">I had the sniffles and a headache like I was getting a cold.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">My ankle was bothering me for no reason.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">I wasn&#8217;t lifting weights with the same determination I usually have.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">I did not push myself in any way.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I told myself a &#8220;little bit&#8221; was better than nothing. So I kept at it. After lifting weights on the FreeMotion machines for about 30 minutes, I saw that some treadmills had opened up.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4227.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-8912\" title=\"IMG_4227\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4227-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4227-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4227-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4227.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>I hopped on the treadmill to do my<span style=\"color: #800080;\"> Return to Running plan<\/span> just like I&#8217;d done on Monday&#8211;gradually increasing the speed every quarter mile or so. It seemed to be working. I increased my speed to 4.3 max by the end of my jog. I admit, my Half-Assed Workout was turning around!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4233.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-8914\" title=\"IMG_4233\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4233-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4233-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4233-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4233.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>I saw that the mileage was getting close to my 1.5 mile and I was in such a great groove I didn&#8217;t want to stop. It didn&#8217;t hurt that one of my favorite songs was on.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4232.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-8915\" title=\"IMG_4232\" src=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4232-200x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4232-200x300.png 200w, https:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_4232.png 320w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>Before I knew it, I&#8217;d jogged 1.65 miles! Yay! And it felt good. I had no pain, no aches in my leg or knee. It turned out well. This will be the first time either of us are cooking a Turkey Dinner. Plus we are having some friends over! Since it&#8217;s going to be a potluck-style, we prioritized the items and figured out what we would be providing (i.e. Turkey, Appetizers).<\/p>\n<p>Honestly I&#8217;m a tad nervous about taking on such a huge task. BUT I did make an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.110pounds.com\/?p=7152\">entire chicken<\/a> last month&#8230;.and it was a success.
