I am a pretty focused person when I workout and I kind of do my own thing. Michael and I hike and bike together. I have a few friends who I sometimes workout with.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve run the waterfront with a coworker once before. He wasn&#8217;t a runner but wanted to start. He was much faster than me so I pushed myself harder and I was pretty sore the next day. Another co-worker of mine mentioned running together too. I haven&#8217;t said yes yet because she a really good runner and I think she&#8217;d put me to shame!<\/p>\n<p>The plus sides to having a buddy are many. It helps change up routines. Keeps you motivated. Makes you accountable.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>QUESTION: How do you fuel your workouts?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Peanut butter is a good pre-workout fuel for me. He said he notices a difference in his energy level and recovery time as a result of this drink. I&#8217;ve tried it twice and dislike the flavor so much I can&#8217;t drink it. It tasted like Tang to me. Ick!<\/p>\n<p>Does anyone have any other recommendations? I&#8217;m looking for something I  can use on Reach The Beach next month.<\/p>\n<p>I ran at lunch today. It was a great run. I decided to forgo the jacket but wondered if I would regret it once I got outside. It was a tad chilly! I was lucky, however, and once I started running it was the right temperature. The weather was perfect and I didn&#8217;t need my jacket.
