Thank you! The brisket was great! It was gone in seconds too!

I love when people give trees/plants that you can enjoy for a long time to come! My BFF gave my younger son a Canadian Hemlock for his first birthday, and although we didn’t keep up on taking photos of him next to it, darnit, I can say that it towers well above the house 26 years later πŸ™‚ Your friends and neighbors sure put the warm in housewarming!

Aww that is so sweet! I love it!
We planted a cherry blossom tree in the yard at our old house and after 10 years it got SO BIG! I was surprised. And a little sad when we moved. So it’s kinda cool that we got a tree to plant at our new place. πŸ™‚

Yay for the new house! The most thoughtful housewarming gifts I got were a hose (I was a first-time homeowner) and a growler from the brewery in my neighborhood (this being Portland and all!). I try to keep those in mind when I go to other people’s housewarming parties.

Those are great ideas! I love it.
I’ve gotten similar things for housewarming gifts: gardening gloves, houseplants, etc. I do candles or lotion a lot too. Something a little nice to put in a bathroom or something that you wouldn’t normally spend money on.
The friends that got us fancy meat to grill up was a great idea! I might steal that idea. πŸ˜‰
