Ok, I’m sold, I totally am going to go there now.

It was really good. And not that expensive. $11 for my entree and $6 for the tamales I think.

“They tasted like fresh corn and sun.” For some reason, this sentence made me giddily happy.

Man, that place looks DELICIOUS! I bought the Trader Joe’s Gorditas and haven’t tried them yet. One of the them has something like 9 WW Points, which I can totally fit in but that’s still more than, say, a piece of pizza.

We have one of Chris’ sisters in town. It’s gorgeous and sunny today so they’re up snowboarding. I had a super bland Halibut dish at Ivar’s Salmon House last night. Good thing I’m not blogging it. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a dish that tasted so much like that absence of any flavor. I brought most of it home (it was $$$) so I’m sure it’ll be much better when I doctor it up. Tomorrow we’re going to Port Townsend and Sunday we’re doing Seattle tourist stuff: Fremont Fair, Ride the Duck, etc. It’s so fun playing tourist in your own town and gives you a little mini vacation.

Hope you get to go snowshoeing. Have a great weekend!

It was a really yummy dinner! I definitely want to go back.

Halibut has always been a bland fish to me. It needs a lot of spices and maybe mango salsa on it to jazz it up for me. That’s why I usually go with salmon or trout.

It sounds like you have a great weekend lined up! It’s been ages since I’ve been to Port Townsend. My parents have a cabin up there and most of my childhood we went up there for the weekend. It was a cool place for kids to run around outsides, ride bikes and stuff.

looks like a super yummy dinner. that conversation is oh so familiar, though i dont usually say the hormonal thing he just thinks that. that huge box of chobani looks amazing! and i love how fat kitty as soon as possible needs to be in that box, so cute.

That box BARELY hit the floor and Fat Kitty was inside of it!

    I *lurve* tamales!

I didn’t even know Monday was a holiday. LOL. I do not have it off.

    1. Lisa Eirene

Michael doesn’t have Monday off either. I am grateful I do! Looking forward to sleeping in, having a leisurely workout at the gym, pedicure and dinner with a friend!

I literally “LOLed” at the “Objection. Non-responsive.” comment. Awesome!

Your food looks good! I do have a question about Chobani though. I love the Greek yogurt, and have bought all the different kinds. I’ve been trying to cut down on sugar, and noticed that the Greek yogurt seems to have a lot of grams of sugar. Is the sugar that’s in Greek yogurt a healthy sugar? I know it’s a trade-off with the protein and other nutrients. I’ve bought the plain kind and added fruit to it, but it just doesn’t quite taste as good as the flavored kinds!

    1. Lisa Eirene

Lori, I think Chobani is a good Greek yogurt and I like it a lot. I do think the flavors with fruit and sugar in it are too sweet for me. Yesterday I tried the black cherry and could have used JUST cherry in it–no syrup. I usually just buy the Chobani plain or vanilla and that’s fine with me.

Sadly, I’ll be working this weekend… 🙂 Enjoy the Chobani! I’ve actually never tried it… Let us know which one is your favorite flavor!

    1. Lisa Eirene

Once you have Greek yogurt you’ll never be able to eat the other kind! I love it so much. I usually stick with vanilla Chobani and it’s great!
