You don’t have to convince me at all. I LOVE kettlebells. I have a few different sizes at home. While I haven’t used them recently since I’m doing specific Tough Mudder training, I do love a good KB workout.

That’s so cool! What weight KBs do you have at home?

I have (2) 4K’s, (2) 8K’s and a 12K. I started with the smallest and worked my way up. I used to work at a fitness supply company and got them at a steal since I worked there. Hence why my basement looks like half living room/half gym.

          That is awesome! How lucky!

I am sooo sooo sorry I canceled at the last minute! I was sick with the flu. πŸ™ πŸ™

Hey man, the flu this year is no joke! I know so many people who are really really sick. Take it easy.

This looks like fun. If I had been in town Satirday I would have made it there.

The Groupon is still active. You can get it and give it a try! πŸ™‚

My new gym doesn’t have kettle bells, and I’m sad. They are the best workout. I would usually do the main 4 (chin ups, dead lifts, push ups, squats) and then do kettle bell stuff for the rest of the workout. I’ve asked why they don’t have them and they said that people stole them… Not sure I believe that someone walked out the front door with a 45lb kettle bell…

What a bummer. I love how the kettlebells are cardio and weights.

My gym had the same issue. We have a bunch of kettle bells and one of the trainers said that some people were stealing them for awhile. Not sure how they fixed that issue.

Thanks for the invite to go to this class! I really did enjoy myself even though I thought I might puke for most of it! It was a great workout and my thighs, glutes, arms, and shoulders are really feeling it today! I enjoyed how hands on and encouraging Ashley was. I’m going to look up that groupon you mentioned. I think this would be great for me to add to my routine like once a week. I obviously need some help in the strength catigory. And from the looks of my rear end in the above picture, the squats would do me good too. πŸ˜‰

First off, I think you are too hard on yourself. You look great in person! Second, if you do buy the groupon, let me know what classes you sign up for. I can join you. I got 2x a week. That’s about all my body can handle!

I’ve been wanting to try kettle bells for a long time now. But I know that I need to take a class to make sure that I use proper form.

    1. Lisa Eirene

I recommend a class. You can watch youtube videos but I think it’s very beneficial to have an instructor or personal trainer correct your form.

I have a kettlebell at home and I have fallen in love with it. I am actually sore from a pretty killer at home workout I did earlier this week. I figure when I get stronger I will buy a few more in heavier kettlebell weights but for now my 8.8 pounds works great! πŸ™‚ I love this idea of a warrior room though.

    1. Lisa Eirene

I’m glad you like the kettle bells. Aren’t they an amazing workout?

  8. Stacie

I have never tried kettle bells for one of the reasons you mentioned – worried about back issues! Sounds like the right instructor is important. I am in a groove of lifting weights though and I really enjoy that.

    1. Lisa Eirene

Yes, definitely get instruction first. If you can’t find a kettle bell gym, see a trainer. They should be able to help you out. This time of year is perfect, too, because a lot of gyms are offering free personal training sessions.
