great list!! Since I work for a nonprofit and my fiance is in grad school, we quickly learned how to entertain ourselves on a strict budget.

I firmly believe we have amore memorable time when we have more creative dates rather than expensive ones.

I have to agree, Sarah. Sometimes the dates we have that are different are the most fun. That day we went and listened to the jazz speakers talk about their art was really fun. And free! What’s been your favorite?

Fantastic list Lisa. My husband has been out of work for some months now, so we’re always on the hunt for “F&F” activities (as we call ’em). Luckily for us, with spring approaching, there are more and more freebies in Vancouver to go to. We do lots of street fests, art crawls, walks etc, etc. I think some of the best times are the spontanious ones that cost nothing but time and togetherness. (that was a bit gaggy…but you know what I mean) Have a great day!!!

Street festivals and art walks are a great idea! There are a lot of those things here in Portland too. I’ll have to check that out.

Have a good weekend, Roz. 🙂

We love to go to the library and then out for a cup of coffee. It’s inexpensive and can eat up a whole afternoon! In fact, that is our plan for tomorrow LOL!

That’s a great idea. I always forget about the library. They often have free events there too.

I work for a national tour of a broadway show and we will be in Portland in about 6 weeks or so. I could probably offer you guys a pair of tickets to the show on Tuesday or Wednesday night while I’m town. No strings, just don’t mention I gave them to you guys for free 🙂

    1. Lisa Eirene

That’s really nice of you to offer! I might be interested if we are in town. And just to note, I hate musicals so…. 🙂 But I love plays!

Yikes… Well if you hate musicals, this might not be a good idea for you then!

Can I ask which play it was?
