    I totally forgot about blackstrap molasses! When we lived in California, we did lots of hippieish stuff like drink water + blackstrap molasses instead of coffee. I remember it being pretty good, but that was 12 years ago…

      I can see if you like the flavor of molasses it would be a nice thing in coffee….but….meh not for me! There’s just a hint of the flavor in these cookies so it’s ok but if the flavor was stronger I probably wouldn’t like them.

    I really like molasses. I love gingerbread, maybe that’s why. We make occasional cajun coffee, which calls for molasses and brewed with chickory. It’s definitely an acquired taste.

      Maybe that’s why I’m not a huge fan, I’ve never really liked ginger or gingerbread/gingersnap flavors.

    Too bad about the molasses but I can understand where you’re coming from. It’s super irony-tasting, I usually had to disguise the flavor with some chocolate peanut butter.

      These cookies helped a lot! I will definitely make this recipe again. I didn’t mind the molasses flavor.
