    I like mussels, but I prefer other shellfish like scallops better. Mussels have to be cooked perfectly or they are like rubber bands. Of course, that is pretty much any shellfish LOL!

    I get restaurant anxiety only when I know that I have multiple meals in a week and they are at places that I have trouble choosing a healthier entree at. That usually happens when we visit in-laws.

    I also know (and you know as well) that any weight you gain from a week of indulgence will come off. You do want to enjoy the food because being anxious and worried about it means you won’t enjoy it and then what is the point? That said, it is important to keep a leash on how much you eat.

    Go and have a good time with company, keep an eye on portions and the beverages.

      I love clams, mussels and scallops. I’ve never tried to make them at home but I like it when a restaurant can prepare them perfectly. Chewy ones are not so great!

      Restaurant eating can be done smartly–like splitting entrees–and I did okay last night. Neither the soup nor the mussels were super high in calories. But the wine and bread was high in calories, so I could have done better that way.

    I love most seafood and shellfish, but I’m not crazy about mussels and clams!

    I definitely have restaurant anxiety-I’m at the point that I will avoid some social situations if I feel like I won’t be in control of my eating. But I still go out, I am just selective about where and how often I go. At least I can save a few dollars not going out so much!!!

      I avoid social situations and restaurants as much as I can when I’m not feeling “strong enough.” I try to limit it as much as I can and if I can spend time with friends doing other activities besides restaurant eating, I will do that.
