I would really like to use the certificate towards a pressure cooker!

    1. Lisa Eirene

      What’s a pressure cooker? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one!

      1. Vicki G

Pressure cooker is awesome! I took and Indian Cooking class and it is used primarily in that type of cooking.
Pressure cooker is like a crock pot but kind opposite in a way.
You get the same effect of the moist deliciousness of a slow cooker but in 15 minutes and you only need water.
You should look into it. They are awesome and for people that forget to take meat out of the freezer!

        1. Lisa Eirene

Cool! Enjoy it! Let me know how you like it. πŸ™‚

My faithful hand-luggage sized trolley said farewell during my latest trip to NYC. Definitely need a replacement!

PS: a pressure cooker is a pot with a sort of hermetic lid, which allows the inner temperature to raise above boiling point (120ΒΊC). Therefore foods cook more rapidly, just to have an idea, you can boil white rice in 4 minutes!
I carried one all the way from Italy to the US πŸ™‚

    1. Lisa Eirene

Thanks for telling me! Sounds interesting. I’ll have to read more about it.

      1. Eleonora

Feel free to ask any questions about it! I’ve had one since I can remember, my mom owns three… I’d stick with european-made and stainless steel ones, don’t really like aluminum ones.

        1. Lisa Eirene

Thanks Eleonora! I will contact you if I have more questions. I’m not sure how often I’d use one but I like the idea.

  4. kalin

  5. Carbzilla

Yay – I wanna win! They have free shipping on weights! That’s incredible! I’m ordering some even if I don’t win.

My favorite aunt and uncle in the WHOLE WORLD live in Phoenix this time of year but spend summers in the PNW. It’s so great visiting them! I’m trying to find time to go down. I love it when they tell me “Well, it’s a chillly 68 today” and it’s like 40 here.

    1. Lisa Eirene

I can handle a “chilly 68 degrees”. Hehehe!

  6. Lisa

I would use it for a new suitcase for my trips to San Francisco and Lincoln City that we have planned for this summer!

  18. Megan (Braise The Roof)

Great giveaway! I definitely need some new luggage, but I think I’d have to go with a new cutlery block. I have no good way of storing my knives right now and am always afraid that I’ll stick my hand in a draw and accidentally slice it!

    1. Lisa Eirene

      Ooh ouch! Don’t do that!

  19. chelsie

I was just thinking I could use new luggage! First thing to replace would be my carry on!

  20. Diana P.

I would use it for some home decor –maybe wall art or a clock! 1st homes are expensive…haven’t been able to spend as much as I’d like to make it pretty! πŸ™‚

I would use the credit to buy something fabulous for my kitchen. I love a new kitchen gadget, but I would probably use it for some Rachael Ray cookware or accessories. I heart the oval pasta pot. I’d love a wok or something like that as well.

    1. Lisa Eirene

Those all sound good to me!

  23. Amanda

Also, I’ve never commented on your blog before, but I’ve been stalking it for awhile. πŸ™‚

Our food processor (which I never like anyway) died a death by mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving. I would use a gift certificate toward a new (and better) food processor.

    I joined you on FB.

    I tweeted too!

    1. Lisa Eirene

AJ our food processor is dead too. AND my Magic Bullet is dying. πŸ™ Boo.

  25. Amanda

I would use it to buy new carry-on luggage. We were stationed in Korea for 2 years and then came right to Okinawa and have been here for 3 years. We are now going to Germany for 4 years. We have pounded our luggage through all of these military PCS’s. I would get some new stuff for our expanded family so when we get to go home for the first time in 3 years (only for a visit) we will not have to worry about wheels popping off…that happened when we came here! Don’t know if new luggage would be as exciting as having our family meet our new son, but it would make the trip a lot better πŸ˜‰

  26. Tim

I would get an fire extinguisher

    1. Lisa Eirene

Good knives make a HUGE difference!

  31. DefineDiana

I really really need a new yoga mat, so I would use it for that. I bought my current yoga mat from target in the dollar section. I thought I was so clever then, but now I am really regretting it.

    1. Lisa Eirene

I learned that lesson too. I got my yoga mat at Ross for $8. Yeah……;)

  32. sugarmagnolia70

  33. shel

I discovered craft blogs and now I’m obsessed with organizing my craft room and moving everything out of Rubbermaid bins and really having an organized space.

First step, getting the Venture Horizon – 1255-x – Craft Hutch / Organizer – White
    http://www.csnstores.com/Venture-Horizon-1255-x-VHZ1092.html

{{sigh}} hoping I can finally organized all my fabric scraps and notions in those cute glass jars and have it really look like a craft room and not someplace the fabric fairy threw up on.

    1. Lisa Eirene

I went through a scrapbooking phase and bought SOOOO Much stuff! I needed storage options too. Great idea.
