Scary. I think of my daughter and it frightens me, terribly.

    Eek. those pictures scare me!

I’d rather be fit with a little fat and have some curves than look like I might break if you touch me.

Agreed, eek. And the muscled up guys, reminds me of all the steroid cheats in baseball. But hmm…I could do some good work with Photoshop on my profile pic…ha ha.

I do think that first photo is repulsive and sad. I blame those stupid Bratz dolls!

And it’s not out of jealousy. That look is just not healthy! I have a friend who is notoriously skinny – she eats normally (though probably never stuffs herself) and has to work out to keep some muscle on her. For her it really is genetic (I know her parents). But this starving to model and sell clothes thing is wrong. I have to buy clothes that fit ME, and I’m average. Very average.

I really think muscles are sexy.

    Thanks for the discussion!

I have a friend like that. I get that. But it’s the weird starvation to be skinny I have a problem with. It’s sad.

    Gag!! Her ribs are disgusting!!!

So very true……I would rather have muscles and curves than ribs poking out….and I know my partner would agree. he likes a little to love. 🙂

Honestly…right now I’m in the phase where I would rather look like the model. It’s so cyclical….I’ll go for months being pround of my athletic and curvy body that men love, and then I just want it all gone. Nature of the beast, I guess.

I think that’s natural. And I go through that too.

I wont do a chick with ribs like that. They just look like they got something bad. An STD or something.

Then again, I might be a man whore. Well, I think all men are LOL But those skinny ribs doesn’t look healthy, Those bones wont keep me worm at winter. So no thanks. Give the number of someone more, uhm, filled.

That’s refreshing to hear! And you make a good point about being warm in the winter. 🙂

I’m with you 100%. Looking at those super-skinny models gives me chills…in a bad way. And I’m also much more likely to buy from stores or designers who use all kinds of body types in their ads – it shows that their clothes work on a variety of women, meaning they’re more likely to look good on me too!
