“Featuring beloved characters from The Castaways, Beautiful Day, and A Summer Affair,
The Perfect Couple proves once again that Elin Hilderbrand is the queen of the summer beach read.”

I think you might have jumped in the middle of a series.

I don’t think so. I think there were characters from other books but it wasn’t a series.

Thanks for the recommendations, Lisa – though I’m sorry you had to go through some duds to get to the good ones 🙁 Maybe You Should Talk To Someone is already on my TBR list, and now Winter in Paradise is definitely going to be added. I don’t know why I enjoy books where there is a hidden life that gets discovered – I loved The Pilot’s Wife, for example. I’m always interested to read how the cheater pulled it off without the spouse finding out about it. I just finished reading A Super Upsetting Book About Sandwiches, which is actually a cookbook, but I read that thing from cover to cover like a novel. Tyler Kord is SO funny and his recipes are interesting and peppered with lots and lots of humor. I am currently listening to If She Wakes by Michael Koryta – did you recommend this one, maybe? It’s a pretty compelling story about a woman who witnesses something, but was injured and suffering from locked-in syndrome. The bad guys are waiting to see if she “wakes up” and her family thinks she’s never going to wake up and I’m so curious how the story is going to end!

I think I did recommend that one, yes!
That cookbook sounds interesting! I will look for it.
