    It sounds like your therapist is doing a good job, supporting you while you dig through a lot of layers and thoughts and behaviors! It’s really interesting to read this and I hope you keep sharing this part of your journey.

    This is so much me! I am 45 now and I think I’m having perimenopause symptoms and my whole body is changing again and at the same time I’m breaking out of my old mindsets and eating habits. It’s a journey. Especially getting my mind around the idea that eating 1400-1600 calories a day for ten years to keep me thinner showed that my body did not want to be that size.

      I really appreciate your comment! I am the same way. It took me a long time to realize that a really low calorie number was not fueling me well in the my body or my mind. I think back to both times I hit plateaus that were really really hard to break out of and it was the exact the same weight both times (170 pounds). Sure, I managed to lose that last 20 the first time but it was with overexercising and really cutting my calories.
